Global Changemakers [1] - 13.07.2025
International annual Youth Summit Global Changemakers is the platform for wholesome cooperation of young specialists – the future leaders in the variety of fields. Global Changemakers means 91 countries and scores of participants, forming a network of activists, receptive to ideas and committed to the cause of change."I think there is something big developing here” – the words of Nik Gowing, the main presenter on BBC World News regarding the Global Changemakers’ participation in debates – are no wonder today. But what was before?
History
The Global Changemakers is the new name for the Road to Davos project, gathering young people from around the world for several representatives to be selected to represent the youth of today’s world at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. By the way, the World Economic Forum 2010 was opened today, on the 27th of January. In 2008 the program became a challenge for the youngest panelists ever at the WEF at Davos. The session was a great success and received numerous invigorating comments. The young activists, later called the Changemakers, made the world’s leaders see the power of their innovative projects, which were worth exploring and developing. It ushered young people to the sphere of ample opportunities, the society of qualified experts. And it was a success.
You can find the idea farfetched. But the Global Changemakers is the way towards unique opportunities. And they can also be yours.
