Work Abroad! It’s Popular! [0] - 15.07.2025

Are you thinking of getting a job abroad? Are you dreaming of spending a summer in New Zealand, Italy or China? Everything is real now with a variety of study, travel, internship, work and combined programs!

This chart was made specially to help you to decide which program type fits personally you!

So, the number ones are Work & Travel programs, probably the most popular ones among the students! Work & Travel programs offer a wide choice of destinations, from New Zealand to the USA, and jobs. You can work for restaurants and hotels, or take your job in the entertainment industry. Paid from $7 – 9 per one hour you may earn up to $4000-8000 per summer! Olga, the third-year student, has recently come from the USA. She is full of amazing impressions about the program. “Of course I had to work a lot, but I had also a lot of fun!” Olga says. She paid about $2000 for the program and worked them out! She bought herself a laptop.

Number 2. Work & Study programs offer you practically the same and different courses: English, management and many others. The price is higher (from $3000) and in some cases some work experience is required. The salary is from 8 to 11 Australian dollars per hour. To get a program in New Zealand you need to know IT, Management or Web-Design.

Internships, number 3, are the much more serious programs, mainly for the last-years students and post-graduates. Go to China, Australia, UK, and Italy to get a valuable experience working for hotel and restaurant business. Be attentive! When you sign up for Australia you should include your skills and majors in the form. Usually these programs include some training courses in the chosen field before you are allowed to work.

Number 4, simple work. The programs are for those who don’t have to sit on lectures all day long! Contracts are for from 3 to 12 months long. Work areas: Canada, Emirates (some experience is desirable!), and Egypt.

“Camp America”, number 5, provides with working with children in the US summer camps. A candidate is expected to have work experience with children or younger brothers and sisters in the family. You may work as a camp counselor or a leader in some particular section, for example, tennis or art. No, you don’t have to be the tennis champion or nominated for the Nobel Prize in art! You are just expected to be friendly, active, initiative and love children! $1500 per 10 weeks is guaranteed.

“Au-pair” programs, number 6, are similar to “Camp America” in work connected with children. You live in a family that pays for your visa and tickets and also gives you pocket money every week. It’ll make 250 euro per 7 days at least. In addition, the family pays for language courses for the student. The peculiar feature of this kind of program is that the student is not a guest, but he is not a professional baby-sitter either. The student receives the status of the elder brother or sister, the member of the family. There are some limitations in different countries (the program is available in at least 10 countries!), for example, you are not allowed if you are married. Some extra requirements: certain age, driving license, etc.

And the last kind of programs offered in Ulyanovsk is work on cruise liners. You are required to have a year work experience in the chosen sphere. You are paid for accommodation, food and medical insurance. The beginners will get at least $1000 per month.

To sum up, I’d like to mention about one interesting site www.start4you.ru. The most popular sites for more information concerning with all these programs are www.interair.ru, www.iec.ru and www.alvesta1.ru. So, good luck to find a good job abroad!
