- Hello Elena! You are the first time to participate in the Forum. The session is over. Could you tell, what means for you the three letters EYP?
- Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative in young people and facilitates the learning of
social and professional skills. Young people give new approach to the crucial problems of the whole society. EYP is very important for Europe and reveals the true democracy in Europe. I will be glad to take part in EYP again!
- Did you have any prejudices about before the session?
- I was very exited about my participation in the 2nd German-Franco Forum in Saarbrücken and Strasbourg. I expected our committee work to be very difficult, exhausting and boring as I didn't expect young people to be so interested in politics. But I was mistaken. Committee work turned to be very active and interesting. Almost all the delegates are experienced EYPers, most of them have a passion for EYP, which became a part of their life. I was agreeably surprised to discover that fact. It was my first session and I hope not the last.
- What did your work at the EYP look like?
- All the delegates worked in eight committees (Committee on Employment and Social Affairs I; Committee on Employment and Social Affairs II;Committee on Human Rights I;Committee on Civil Liberties and Home Affairs I;Committee on Legal Affairs I;Committee on Human Rights II; Committee on Civil Liberties and Home Affairs II;Committee on Foreign Affairs I).
I worked in Committee on Employment and Social Affairs I . The main topic of our discussion was corporate responsibility and working conditions. Our resolution published on the 4th day of our work aswered to the main question "How can the EU control European companies as well as their contractors to provide humane labour conditions for workers within the EU as well as in third party countries?"
It may sound too complicated, but we worked with pleasure. How is it possiple to write resolution working with foreigners whom you see the first time? It was easy due to team building. The first day we spend playing funny games in the open air. And the following days we worked as a good team, never to interrupt each other. No conflicts or misunderstanding. Our organizers and journalists made our evenings incredibly funny. We had a Eurovillage which is traditionally held during EYP sessions. Delegates presented their country and culture. I had a great opportunity to taste national dishes from all the European countries. Moreover we had chance to go out and walk in the streets of German city Saarbrücken and Frech city - Strasbourg. The 4th and the 5th day were the most important for all the participants - General Assembly - defence of resolutions which consists in hot debates and voting "for" or "against" the resolutions. Our committee made a great work and our resolution passed. For me it was a great experience of working together and supporting your ideas till the end.

- Your impressions and some advice to future participants!
- EYP deeply impressed me. As it's a great opportunity to work with foreigners on serious topics. At EYP it's also possible to meet true friends and have lots of fun with them. EYP boosts your self-believe and make you feel important for the whole world. If you have an opportunity to take part in EYP never miss it.
