17th edition of the Portuguese Atlantic Youth Seminar - 30.04.2024

Dear and esteemed colleagues, fellow academics, researchers, young
professionals, members and representatives of the Atlantic Treaty
Associations and of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Associations,

It is with great pleasure that the Portuguese Atlantic Youth
Association and the Portuguese Atlantic Committee invite you to apply
to the 17th edition of the Portuguese Atlantic Youth Seminar.

This seminar will occur between 23rd of July and 30th of July (formal
farewell dinner and night will take place on the 29th of July, at
20:30).

PAYS is a one week long international seminar where a myriad of
nationalities and backgrounds come together to discuss and breathe
Defense, Security and NATO related issues and subjects.

Focusing on a balance between academic curriculum (with morning
conferences and early afternoon debates) and diverse social activities
- some of them by the shade near the Airbase's pool or in the atrium
of the Officer's Palace -, in order to promote informal conversation
and networking within a working environment.

PAYS is the perfect chance of a full, productive and enriching week in
Lisbon for any Young Atlanticist or academic interested in
geopolitics, security and defense issues, as well as those willing to
hear the feedback of experts on the outcomes of the Chicago Summit.

an application for this exciting event.€ ? The Official Invitation letter
contains all the necessary information (including deadlines for your
Application) and the Application Form€ ? is the essential item for your
candidacy.

For those of you unable to come and therefore that won't be applying -
and even to those who are planning on trying their luck with this
event - please help spread the word to other interested parties and
individuals! Atlanticism, NATO, security and defense are subjects of
great interest to many people, no doubt some of those among your
friends, colleagues or coworkers.

The final and detailed Program for the Seminar will be sent at the
start of June. All of the academic activities will cover the main
subject of the Seminar, so you can already count with lectures,
workshops and debates on transnational threat emergence, nuclear
proliferation, privatization of conflict, and much more!
