Three summer schools in Latvia - 02.02.2025
This year there is a possibility to take part in three summer schools:1. the Baltic International Summer School “Learn and Experience Baltics: Nature, Culture and Spa Tourism” (additional information – http://biss.va.lv) in Valmiera, organized by the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in July 31 – August 14, 2011,
2. the International Summer School “Entering the Void” (additional information – http://www.summerschool.rtu.lv) in Riga, organized by the Riga Technical University in August 7 – 20, 2011, and
3. the International Summer School “Innovations in Baltic Logistics” (additional information – http://www.ba.lv) in Riga, organized by the BA School of Business and Finance (SBF) in August 15 – 27, 2011.
If applicant wants to apply for the scholarship for participation in one of the summer schools, he/she has to visit the website of the organizing HEI for information and submit all the necessary documents:
Application form of the summer school;
Curriculum vitae;
Motivation letter;
Certified photocopies of HEI-Diploma, including transcripts, or transcript of records, if studies have not been finished yet;
One recommendation letter.
Application package has to be sent to the organizers of the summer school. The evaluation committee of VIAA takes decision on granting of Latvian scholarships. The organizing HEI informs all scholarship candidates about the final granting decision.
The amount of the Latvian scholarship for summer school is LVL 500. It covers tuition fee, accommodation, living, local transport expenses and field trips.
Application deadline for the summer schools is May 2, 2011.
