From A to B – Transeuropa Journalist Award - 05.09.2025
Contest for Young Journalists about Mobility in Europe It is time to be Active and to Believe in your abilities around Europe.
The ‘From A to B’ contest is about YOU – your world and your moves!
Where are you coming from and where are you going? From A to B tells a
European story, the story of people who move around the continent. A and
B are variables, and it’s up to YOU to fill them with life. The topic of
the contest is “Mobility in Europe” in all aspects: tell a story or
create a report about love, travel, work, study or anything else you
consider as connected to mobility in Europe, its development, and its
horizons.
Informations regarding submissions: Submissions can be a Text, a Photo,
a Video or an Audio file. To take part in the competition, you must
register on Youthmedia’s website:
1. Text : minimum words: 1000 (between 10 and 15 MB if you choose to
submit a PDF);
2. Images : must follow Youth Media instructions, namely: a JPEG of a
minimum size of 900 x 900 pixels and a maximum weight of 10 MB;
3. Audio : an MP3 file whose size does not exceed 35 MB, and a maximum
length of 30 minutes;
4. Video: A video file whose size does not exceed 30 MB in AVI,
QuickTime, 3GPP, WMV, MP4, FLV or MPEG, and a maximum length of 10 minutes.
Criteria for evaluation:
• Relevance to the topic
• Originality and creativity in addressing the topic
• Quality journalism
Deadline: 20 April 2010
Participants: All Young media enthusiasts from 18 to 35 years old living
in geographical Europe.
Prizes: The contest is part of Transeuropa Festival, organized by
European Alternatives in London, Paris, Cluj and Bologna between the end
of April and beginning of May. The prize will be a Trip to Bologna to
attend and report on the activities of Transeuropa Festival. The contest
winners will be awarded during the event. Additionally the winner with
the best Audio or Video submission will get an Adobe® Software packet
(Creative Suite® and Photoshop). The winner in the Photo category will
win an Adobe® Photoshop packet and the winner in the Text category will
get 250 Euro.
