Scholarship-Programme 'Support the Next Generation of Historians inRussia, the Ukraine, Moldova and Belorussia' - last call for papers

Kind of support/work: PhD and research scholarships for young
historians to cover living expenses in their home countries (max. 24
months) including an up to 6 month research stay in Germany; Short-
term-scholarships for young historians to finance research at German
Eastern Europe Institutions, including travelling expenses (max. 6
month); Financing of invitations to historians from the above-
mentioned countries to visit German universities or research
institutes, including travelling expenses; Covering the costs of a
lectureship for young German historians at a university in the above-
mentioned countries, including travelling expenses.
Duration: 1 to 24 month
Site: Germany
Topics: History - PhD and research projects which deal with the young
historian's own country, make use of historical archive material and
stimulate related or comparative subjects.
Eligibility: Graduate historians (at least Master Degree) from
Russia, the Ukraine, Moldova and Belorussia; young German historians
planning a lectureship in the respective countries. Please visit the

Deadline: April 1, 2010. After this last call for papers,
applications from Russia, the Ukraine, Moldova and Belorussia will be
considered within the Foundation's Basic Programme
