SKYPE interactive Link-up between Forsyth Tech Community College and Ulyanovsk State University - 25.07.2025

Today students of Forsyth Tech Community College Microeconomics Class Eco 251 and select four students of Ulyanovsk State University Daria Korotina and Daria Gorbunova (the Russian-American Department) as well as Raisa Baragyan and Victoria Klimova (the Department of Linguistics and International Cooperation) took part in a SKYPE interactive Link-up.

The main purpose of the online conference was to exchange information between students on the current economies of Russia and the United States. They were asking real world questions about each other’s economy sharing their opinions and supporting their views.

At first, students introduced themselves and exchanged some general interest information on their spare time, favorite types of music, and job opportunities for students in both countries in order to achieve a comfort level with each other. Then, the questions of global financial crisis, reliability of banks and the upcoming elections in the

USA

were raised. The American students on their turn expressed an interest in the influence of the financial crisis on the Russian economy.

The Instructor and Director of International Corporate Training of Forsyth Tech Community College, Suzanne Stafford, has expressed her appreciation to Daria Korotina for expediting and facilitating this important educational effort.
